As a child, my family visited many of the National Parks listed, but this one is so unique and it draws me back over and over. To witness the damaging and wild energy from the mountain erupting, even after all these years and to have visited it long before that event, bring so many feelings to the forefront. It is worth going just to see, first hand, how mother nature has reclaimed so much of the thick forest-land laid bare in 1980, yet still leaving so much of the damage done to still view! A must do in the Pacific Northwest!
