Great place to take kids for a picnic!
Great place for sight seeing, dog walking, photography
Beautiful sunsets here, too!
You can see dolphins now, and Orca whales in the summer from some of the viewpoints. Beautiful views to the north and west of the San Juan Islands.
I do have a soft spot for our Seattle parks, but I was blown away by Washington Park in Anacortes. It is a real gem that we discovered after going on a kayak tour there.
Great place to stay before or after a visit to the San Juan Islands

Great walking trails with amazing views and if you stick to the road there are markers with the mileage every 1/4 mile.
